Ricardo J.A. Pitts-Wiley was very professional, prompt and knowledgeable in every aspect of my case
My attorney was Ricardo Pitts-Wiley. He is very professional, prompt and knowledgeable in every aspect of my case. He handled my case with integrity and respect. I never felt taken advantage of. I’d recommend him to anyone seeking assistance.
Joanna Friedman and Sarah McKinin worked diligently to get the best possible outcome for me
I am very grateful for the professional representation provided by the entire Federal Practice Group Team. Their hard work and compassion throughout a very difficult ordeal and rather dark time for me professionally made all the difference. Joanna Friedman and Sarah McKinin worked diligently to get the best possible outcome for me. They were straightforward and direct with expectations within the process. Things were very difficult at times, they were reassuring and available when I had questions about deadlines and in preparation for hearings and depositions. I would recommend them and FPG to anyone that feels they have been subjected to discrimination or maltreatment in the federal work place. I could not have gotten through this ordeal without them.
It was due to Carol Thompson attention to detail upon reviewing my case file; she was able to discover multiple discrepancies with my United Stated Marine military discharge
I would like to take a moment and thank The Federal Practice Group (Eric Montalvo, Carl Thompson, Ji-Eun Lee and staff/associates) for helping me upgrade my military discharge to full “Honorable” and my re-enlistment code changed to “RE-1A.” It was due to Carol Thompson attention to detail upon reviewing my case file; she was able to discover multiple discrepancies with my United Stated Marine military discharge. On April 2018, Carol Thompson and I made a personal appearance at the Washington Naval Yard and presented the multiple discoveries in violation of the Marine Corps Separation Manual to the Naval Discharge Review Board (NDRB). I have to say, it was tough! I thought the NDRB was not going to rule in our favor (because it is the Marine Corps), but the discoveries of the discrepancies could not be ignored by the NDRB. The evidence Carol Thompson presented to the review board panel was set in stone!!! I received the NDRB final decision on August 2018 after a long waited time. I highly recommend The Federal Practice Group and their associates to anyone seeking legal assistance. Thank you for everything you have done for me. I sincerely and greatly appreciate it.
I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED ONE PERSON TO THE FEDERAL PRACTICE GROUP AND AM WORKING WITH ANOTHER PERSON WHO COULD USE THEIR HELP
Words cannot express how thankful I am for Ricardo Pitts-Wiley and Debra D’Agostino’s help with dealing with discrimination and whistleblower retaliation that I faced as a federal government employee. It was a very difficult time in my life and was negatively impacting my family. Not to mention, I was at the lowest point in my 18 year career with the government. Thanks to Ricardo’s expert advice and positive outlook I was able to recover from a long period of being degraded, harassed, and attacked. I ended up getting a settlement and a job at a different agency with a promotion. I have already recommended one person to the Federal Practice Group and am working with another person who could use their help. Anyone who is looking for a professional, caring, knowledgeable attorney that has experience working with the federal government should request Ricardo or the Federal Practice Group’s help.
I WANTED TO EXPRESS MY SINCERE THANKS FOR THE EXCELLENT LEGAL REPRESENTATION I RECEIVED DURING MY EEO CASE
I wanted to express my sincere thanks for the excellent legal representation I received during my EEO case. The knowledge, guidance, and dedication shown by Debra D’Agostino and Sarah McKinin meant the world to me and my family . This was a long process and I couldn’t have made it this far without them. Knowing that they were in the fight with me, eased so many of my worries. Mere words will never be able to express my gratitude for all of the hard work they did during this difficult and trying time. I truly thank you and the staff at the Federal Practice Group.
Eric Montalvo and Carol Thompson said they would take care of me and they did!
At a time when we were out-of-the-country and it was extremely difficult to not only locate but reach appropriate help, I’ll never forget how much relief we felt hearing Eric Montalvo say he and his team would take care of us. Ultimately, Carol Thompson took over the case and we couldn’t be more pleased with the level of professionalism and care she took. What led to the best outcome in a terrible circumstance was her comprehensive, yet concise, and well-researched rebuttal that resulted in the government members backing off after they were advised by their own legal counsel that they didn’t have a case. Ms. Thompson was incredibly patient and supportive in listening and being with us over the many months it took for the entire process to unravel. It was a trying time and we are forever appreciative of the Federal Practice Group’s help during that period. Thank you Carol and all the best to you and Eric!!! 🙂
Debra and her team were great!
After being fired from my federal job I had a lot of questions. Debra her team were always available to answer questions and gave me their best recommendation on the best place to spend money, for example who to bring in for deposition, who should we have brought in for witnesses for the trial, etc. They also used their paralegals in the areas that would save me money and to help keep the cost down. During the trial, Monica blew the Navy’s lawyer out of the water! Every witness the Navy brought forth, proved OUR point and ultimately the judge found in my favor.
Eric Montalvo and Carol Thompson saved my military career
I immediately contacted Eric Montalvo after finding out some false allegations against me could lead to a Court Martial and the end of my military career. He brought Carol Thompson on board and the two of them did a phenomenal job prepping for the Article 32. I was originally told by someone else to waive the Article 32 and go to the Court Martial. Eric advised me on the pros and cons of the 32 process and strongly suggested that in my case going to the 32 was the best option. At the hearing Carol’s prep work on the witnesses was outstanding and she proved the allegations against me were false. We came in with hundreds of documents and over 20 exhibits and for what the government thought would be a 20-minute rubber stamp hearing took six hours. Eric and Carol’s efforts proved there was no probable cause so in addition to all charges being dismissed the initial arrest became invalid so my criminal record and finger prints at the NCIS and FBI NCIC level were expunged. Eric and Carol gave me my life back and if anyone is trying to decide whether or not to hire The Federal Practice Group I would be happy to speak with them.
Debra and her team helped get me the outcome I was hoping for
Debra and her team are experts in their field, and I couldn’t have gone through this experience without them. They put my mind at ease, knowing I had them on my case, pursuing all legal avenues. As an attorney myself, I could tell they know the law backwards and forwards. And they also included me in the process and treated me as a knowledgeable and valuable part of the case. Their efforts paid off. We got the outcome I had hoped for, which resulted in preserving my work reputation and my ability to apply for future jobs. I am truly indebted to them.
Caroline Leary and Eric Montalvo went above and beyond in their efforts on my behalf
When you realize you are being sued by the United States it can be an overwhelming feeling. However, after discussing my case with Caroline and Eric, I felt much better about what could be done on my behalf. While the case was complex, the attorneys did a great job negotiating with the government for a settlement that I was very satisfied with.
