Jennifer L. Smith is The Federal Practice Group’s Client Intake Coordinator. In this role, she is the first point of contact for new clients and is responsible for matching the client with the attorney best suited to their individual case.
Prior to joining The Federal Practice Group, Ms. Smith worked for 18 years in Information Technology and software development. In this field she excelled in customer support and helping others reach their goals. In her previous position she served as the Quality Assurance Analyst and in this role ensured quality in all aspects of a POS software program developed and supported by the Heartland Payment Systems. Prior to that, she worked in the role of an IT Consultant for Lockheed Martin supporting the House of Representatives, and for General Dynamics supporting the Department of Justice. She has also worked as an Assistant Law Clerk in the Environmental Law and Litigation Division of the Office of the Judge Advocate General for the United States Air Force. She is a graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences at American University, with a B.S. in Computer Science & Information Systems.
Her employment background makes her unique to understanding Government Contractors, Security Clearance holders and Federal Employees. The daughter of an Air Force officer with 30 years of service, she possesses an in-depth knowledge of the military.
