Jennifer Hooshmand is an Associate with the Federal Practice Group. Her practice is focused on criminal and civil litigation, government contracting, personal injury and military law. Prior to joining the Federal Practice Group, Ms. Hooshmand practiced civil litigation with employment law and labor law being her main areas of focus. She successfully assisted in the litigation and trial preparation of a whistleblower/retaliatory claim that resulted in an $850,000.00 settlement. Her cases brought her before state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Superior Courts (Los Angeles, Orange County & San Diego), as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and the Employment Development Department.
While in law school, she served as a law clerk at the Immigration Legal Clinic at Western State College of Law, where she prepared immigrant and non-immigrant filings, and successfully represented an indigent client in a removal proceeding.
Ms. Hooshmand received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She received her Juris Doctorate, with a Certificate in Immigration Law and Distinguished Public Service, from Western State College. She is also the recipient of the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Mediation.
