Ms. Freking is an Associate with the Federal Practice Group and is part of the government contracting law group. Her practice focuses on government contracts. In this role, Ms. Freking counsels and represents government contractors in solicitation reviews, bid protests, terminations, constructive change claims, multiple award schedule contracts, suspension and debarment proceedings, mandatory disclosures, alternative dispute resolution, base debarments, False Claims Act (FCA) action, and other issues under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Contract Disputes Act (CDA).

Prior to joining the Federal Practice Group, Ms. Freking worked at Ho-Chunk, Inc. (HCI) as the Compliance and Ethics Manager establishing the company’s compliance and ethics program from the ground level for their government contracts division. Ms. Freking has extensive experience drafting and negotiating various contracts, including lease agreements, subcontracts, teaming agreements, collective bargaining agreements, vendor agreements, and independent contractor agreements.

Ms. Freking’s other experience includes interning for the Environmental Protection Agency and the KU Center for Technology Commercialization.

Ms. Freking earned her Juris Doctorate from the University Of Kansas School Of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts with a dual in International Studies and Spanish Studies, with a Minor is Psychology from Virginia Tech.
