Mr. Cox is an attorney with over two decades of experience. Before joining the Federal Practice Group, Mr. Cox worked for a boutique law firm, for one of the world’s biggest law firms, and then for 15 years, at a law office that he founded in Washington, D.C. He concentrates his practice on government contracts, internal investigations, and business counseling.

Mr. Cox performs internal investigations for businesses that are facing scrutiny from governments in connection with allegations of wrongdoing under government contracts, criminal laws, and civil or administrative rules. He also discreetly investigates concerns of internal misconduct within private businesses, such as hiring or firing irregularities or claims of discrimination related to protected classes. Mr. Cox has performed internal civil rights investigations under contract with the Federal Government, and assisted with designing a criminal immigration removal program for the Obama Administration.

Mr. Cox also provides a full-spectrum of advice to businesses, including government contractors, that do not have the in-house expertise or personnel to address day-to-day contracts, negotiations, and operations matters.
