PBS' Independent Lens will air The Kill Team, an award-winning documentary about Attorney Eric Montalvo's case representing Adam Winfield, who was accused of war crimes as a 21-year-old infantryman in Afghanistan. The film chronicles Winfield's conflicted time in Afghanistan and his unfolding legal story.
Among its awards, The Kill Team is the winner of Best Documentary Feature at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, winner of the Golden Gate Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival, and was an Official Selection at the AFI Docs festival and the BFI London Film Festival. Its director Dan Krauss was nominated this month by the Directors Guild of America for its Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary for 2014.
