Attorney General Jeff Session’s “Zero Tolerance” immigration policy has garnered national backlash for the practice of separating children from families when seeking asylum in the US. The most heartbreaking part of the process is parents are detained with no timeline or plan of when or how they will be reunited with their children.

Astrid Lockwood, Senior Associate of The Federal Practice Group was able to obtain a bond for her client who could be released as early as this Friday. This has allowed her client to speak to her son for the first time in 25 days.

Lockwood’s client will soon be able to have her case transferred over to the Baltimore Immigration Court, which will allow her to finally be reunited with her family.

If you know someone who is currently detained and in need of legal information or guidance give us a call today at (202) 804-3393.
